CCCV AGM 2023

Our 2023 Annual General Meeting is set for the evening of November 30th 2023.

All of our members, employees, service users and their family members, and our wider community of supporters are very welcome to participate.

The meeting wil be held in the ground floor meeting room at Slaithwaite Civic The Civic, 15A New Street, Slaithwaite, Huddersfield HD7 5AB. Please aim to arrive by 6.30pm at the latest so that we can make a prompt start.

If you intend to come along to the meeting, please register as soon as possible as this is helpful in enabling us to assess venue and catering requirements.

This will be our first in-person Annual General Meeting in some time, and we are really looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible.

We'll use the AGM to provide you with up to date information about the progress of the society, and how we have been progressing. We'll present our accounts, reports from board members, and deal with the election of candidates to our board of directors.

We've been incredibly busy growing our professional team, spreading news and information about our unique service, and working hand in hand with user members to design and deliver care that meets their needs.

The AGM is also a great opportunity for members to ask questions, get to know your board members and each other.

  3. Matters arising
  4. Resolution to disapply the audit requirement*
  5. Board Report

*Disapplying the audit requirement
Organisations like us that use the Community Benefit Society legal structure are required to have their accounts audited if they meet certain criteria. If, as is the case with our society at present, we are small enough not to meet the criteria set out in the legislation, we can resolve to disapply the audit requirement, and this resolution on our agenda is the approved  mechanism by which we do this each year. This is not about avoiding scrutiny of our finances, it is about avoiding very significant costs that would not - in the view of the current board - add anything by way of benefit to our members or the community that we serve.
