Supporting Kirklees College Employability Week 2022

Last week saw us take part in Kirklees College’s Employability Week activities via the Market Place careers fair. We met some great young people interested in what our organisation was about and what’s entailed in being a carer.

We supported the event as we think the college does a great job in helping students build their work skills and consider their career prospects. They do that through a mix of online/virtual presentations with some of the region’s largest employers and the in-person ‘careers fair’ Market Place running during the week.

Our Registered Manager, Danielle along with Emily chatted to groups of students and explained our belief that people who need care in the Colne Valley deserve the best quality care and support. And as this was a careers fair we focussed on our approach to our own staff too: we are an ethical, not for profit community home care service and we really value our staff!

Below are a few photos from the day.

It was great to meet not just staff and students at the college but other employers from the Colne Valley (and wider) area.
